"Hey, Lix!" Onyxa dropped into one of the squishy armchairs, staring at her brother. "Malix," she said again, this time in a sing-song voice, waving her hands through the air to try and catch his attention. He didn't move a muscle; he didn't even glance toward her. His head remained bent, dark bangs covering his face as he continued reading the Dark Arts book he had his nose buried in. "MALIX ERICAI RIDDLE!" she finally raised her voice as she picked up one of the other books he had scattered across the floor and tossed it at him. The thick, hardcover book hit his shoulder and then fell to the floor with a thud. Malix finally looked up, his expression far, far, from happy. "What?" he said, pronouncing each letter of the word in a drawn-out hiss.
Onyxa's playfulness instantly vanished. She backed away a little. It had always been obvious that she was even more submissive than her father, while Malix was almost as dominant as his. "What, the bloody hell do you want?" he snapped, highly annoyed at the interruption. Regaining her composure, and most of her enthusiasm, she leaned forward again. "I think it's time for you to take a break. You know, keep your nose out of a book for five minutes...think that might be at all possible?" she smirked. Glaring, he returned his gaze to page 318. Onyxa crossed her arms and frowned. "Malix, come on. It's Hogsmeade weekend! Hallow's Eve Hogsmeade weekend! I'm going to meet Arroe and Amaranth at the Three Broomsticks..." she smiled. He ignored her again.
A few more minutes of silence and she finally just gave up. She had to meet them at a certain time, she wasn't going to be late. "Nyx, wait!" Malix suddenly called out as she was about to exit the common room. Smirking, he flicked his wand to gather all of his books into a pile, and then hurried to follow her, shoving his wand back into his robes. "I'm coming with you, but I'm having some fun," he said as he reached her. Onyxa smiled. "Good, for once-" she froze. Raising an eyebrow, she looked at him with great curiosity. "This can't be any good, what are you going to do?" she asked. Malix smiled, that hauntingly charming Riddle smile. "That's not supposed to work on your sister..." Onyxa shook her head, looking slightly dazed. The smile was replaced by a look of pure revulsion. "You did not say what I thought you did," he tried to reassure himself. Onyxa smiled. "Well, you can just clear that thought away, because I am never doing so much as hugging you, Onyxa," he said seriously. Her face fell in disappointment. He stared blankly for a second, before murmuring, "They've corrupted you too." and walking past her.
Looking quite taken aback, she simply watched him walk away for a moment, before shaking her head and running after him. "You know, you say that like you think there's a problem with it. It's kind of hypocritical," she said with yet another head shake. Both stopped talking as they came to the students gathered in the entrance hall to leave the castle for Hogsmeade. Malix walked a few feet ahead to avoid any conversation until they reached the Three Broomsticks. "It's not hypocritical," he said as they sat down. "It sort of is. Your father is mother's father," Onyxa crossed her arms. "That's not my fault," he said in a colorless voice. She opened her mouth, but he ignored her as he turned to catch Madam Rosmerta's attention. The bartender looked their way and Malix gave her one of his famous smiles. Rosmerta made a beeline for their table, passing by the group she had been about to wait on, who had arrived before Malix and Onyxa. "What can I get you?" she asked. "Two butterbeers," he replied, the smile never vanishing. Rosmerta nodded and bustled off to get the drinks. "How do you do that?" questioned Onyxa in disbelief. "What?" he played dumb. She rolled her eyes. "Have every female fucking fawning over you! You could look like absolute shit and all you have to do is flash those perfect little pearly-whites and there they go," she muttered with a hint of annoyance. "Probably a couple males too...I could swear I've seen the befuddled reaction out of your father," Malix bit back a laugh. "That's not funny," she growled. He nodded. "You're right, it's not..it's rather disturbing," he said thoughtfully. Onyxa's mouth opened, and then closed instantly. The other two had arrived.

Arroe was bursting with excitement as she sorted through her clothing in search of an outfit she could wear. She needed to meet Amaranth in fifteen minutes, then they were headed to the three broom sticks to meet Onyxa and Malix. She knew she needed to hurry up, but she was having issues with what to wear. At last she decided on a black skirt with fishnets, and a black corset. Her favorite corset. She loved the lace designes on it, and the fishnet sleeves underneath, and she also loved how tight it got, showing off her slim figure. After she was dressed she ran to the mirror and ran her fingers through her wavy hair, she had left it with its natural waves and was wondering if she should've straightened it.
Too late now, she thought with a sigh as she flipped it over her shoulder. Once she pulled on some boots she snatched up a robe and her wand from her bed then ran out the door. At least she didnt have to worry about make up, since she'd already put some on. When she reached the common room she spotted Amaranth in a corner, waiting for her. "Wrath!" she exclaimed as she crossed the room quickly. Flinging her arms around him, she was caught in a hug then their lips met for a brief, but warm, kiss. "You look nice," she commented, looking over her. She smiled in reply, then took hold of his hand and pulled him out the door. "Ready?" she asked, still smiling as he followed. Amaranth nodded and smiled in return, then they started to run.
When they entered the three-broomsticks, Arroe immediatley spotted Onyxa and Malix. Waving, she went up to the counter and ordered a butterbeer for herself and Amaranth, then set off towards their table, Amaranth right behind her. "Hey guys!" she exclaimed happily as she dropped down into a seat beside Onyxa. "How long have you been here?"

Onyxa turned to Arroe with a smile spreading her face. "Arroe!" she said excitedly. "It took you two long enough," she added, gazed turning to Amaranth. She gave him a small smile. The whole time, Malix said nothing. In fact, he scooted his chair closer to the wall and further away from Amaranth. A single sound came out of his mouth, and it was nothing more than a slightly annoyed sigh. Onyxa rolled her eyes at her brother and then looked back to Arroe. "Ah, not too long, really," she answered with a shrug.
Madam Rosmerta came hurrying over to their table with the glasses of butterbeer, before disappearing back behind the bar. Malix pulled his to him and then glared down at the table again, busying himself with sipping the warming liquid. Onyxa narrowed her eyes at him for a second as she searched for a conversation topic. "So, how have classes been going for you two?" she asked. She took a drink and then looked to Aamaranth. "Oh yeah, Happy Birthday...erm...even if it's a bit late," she said with a quiet laugh.

Amaranth shot a quick glance over at Malix, slightly dissapointed that he wanted nothing to do with the whole get-together. Amaranth may not be social, but if there was any other guy he'd rather hang out with, it'd be Malix. Raising his eyebrows, Amaranth nodded in greeting when he could catch Malix's eyes, then he picked up his butterbeer that Madam Rosmerta had just brought and took a long drink. Once he had finished he slipped his arm around Arroe and rested back in his seat, gazing at Onyxa with a smile of thanks. "Yeah thanks," he replied, happy she had remembered. Amaranth looked over at Arroe, leaving it up to her to reply to Onyxa.
Leaning into Amaranth's warm shoulder, Arroe was content to just sit there sipping her butterbeer. Realizing that Amaranth wasn't replying to Onyxa's questions, Arroe sat up slightly straighter and smiled. "They're going good so far, though sometimes it's weird with mom being the teacher," Arroe replied, "but the rest of the classes are pretty good. What about for you two?" she asked, specifically looking at Malix to see if he'd reply.

Meeting Amaranth's eyes for a second, Malix caught his nod of greeting. He gave a small nod back and then looked away again. Tilting his glass back, he took another drink. Seeing Amaranth's movement, the arm around Arroe, out of the corner of his eye, he made a small noise of disgust. Or rather, choked on his mouthful of butterbeer and spit it back into his glass trying to. Onyxa turned to him with raised eyebrows. Malix just gave her a smile, doing his best to not look over at the snuggling couple again.
Alternating between taking little sips and playing with her glass, swishing the butterbeer in it around, Onyxa waited for either Arroe or Amaranth to answer her question. When Arroe finally replied, she nodded and laughed. "At least your mom is...well...nice?" she snorted. "But, yeah, I know what you're saying...you two are just lucky it's only your moms," she said, eyes flickering between Arroe and Malix. Malix gave a snort, but kept his mouth closed. "What?" Onyxa snapped. "You...you're as clueless as your father," he muttered with a cold laugh. Her eyes widened, she clenched her jaw and turned back to Arroe. "Classes are good enough," she answered, ignoring her brother completely now. "Where else are you guys planning on going around the village?" she took another stab at a conversation, distraction from Malix, whose gaze she could feel on her.

Hearing Malix's noise, Arroe half turned and gave him an annoyed glare, "got a problem Lestrange?" Arroe hissed in annoyance. She hated people always giving her disgusted looks, or turning aaway with any 'display of affection.' What, could her boyfriend not put an arm around her? Could she not enjoy some sort of closeness with someone without being viewed as weak or too affectionate?
Laughing a little, Arroe nodded in agreement, "that's true. I can get away with... a lot," she admitted. Arroe tried to ignore the little conflict between Onyxa and Malix, but it was hard to considering the glare Malix had fixed on his face. Sighing, Arroe did what Onyxa did and ignored him completely, turning her complete attention on the other girl. "Not much, maybe a trip to the shrieking shack, probably some zonko's, what about you guys?" Arroe replied with a smile as she gazed down at the glass in her hands.

"What?" Onyxa snapped, looking highly confused. "What did I do?" she asked again, raising an eyebrow. She did not care what the two did. Her only feelings toward their cuddling was, maybe, a bit of envy. Onyxa turned to look at her brother. Malix looked up, eyes narrowing in a glare. "Was that directed at me, Kerea? Did you just call me Lestrange?" he spat, furious now. What an insult. It was bad enough having to say the man was his step-father, and uncle. Malix crossed his arms, waiting for her answer.
Onyxa shook her head with a quiet laugh. "Your mom lets you get away with so much...sometimes you would think that she wanted you to go get in trouble," she said. Nodding, Onyxa thought about it. "Well, I don't-" she started slowly. "No where," Malix cut in, tone firm, as if there was no question about it. "Everywhere here is stupid and pointless and all they sell is useless shit that's a waste of your money," he added. "But I wanted to go-" Onyxa argued. "No," he hissed. Pursing her lips, Onyxa stared down at her glass, backing down. "We're going home when we're finished here. There's work to do, no time for joke shops," Malix said, eyes lingering over Arroe's for a brief moment, before snapping back down to the table.

Arroe shot Onyxa an apologetic smile at her confusion, "not you, him" she replied, adding a bit of scorn to the him. "Yeah I did Malix. Got a problem with us?" Arroe snapped back. Blushing slightly, Arroe shrugged. "Well, she remembers what it was like when she was a kid, so I guess she understands. It has its perks though, especially since my friends hardly get in trouble by her aswell."
At Malix's over-reacting and controlling Onyxa, Arroe could have snapped. She was that annoyed by him. "What the hell is your problem Malix? Onyxa can do whatever she wants without your permission!" Arroe was gripping Amaranth's leg tightly, and she could feel him silently trying to soothe her, but he stayed completely silent, deciding not to interfere with this. He didn't have a temper like Arroe.

"And why would you call me Lestrange? I do not have a drop of Lestrange blood, thank God," he spat, voice raising slightly. "And yes...yes I do have a problem with your...cuddling..." he shuddered and made a retching noise. "It's...disturbing," he added in a low murmur. Onyxa looked like she wasn't sure if she should be mad at him or not. She gave a small frown and turned to Arroe. She shrugged. "That's the problem with my mom...remembering what it was like as a kid," she mumbled.
Taking a deep breath in and letting it back out in a hiss, Malix looked over at Arroe again. "Why don't you stay the hell out of it, Kerea? Onyxa can speak for herself if she wants..." he turned his gaze on his sister. "Then again, maybe she can't," he added thoughtfully, shaking his head. "Besides," he growled, eyes snapping back onto the grey pair across the table. "I'm only trying help her," he smiled and laughed. "But, hey, Nyx...if you want to get your ass handed to you and never be seen as anything more than a second Zaire, in other words a lazy, disobedient, ass...you do that," he said, adding great scorn to his step-father's name. "I think I'll be going now, though...have to take a detour toward Knockturn Alley on the way...see you whenever you finish with your fun, I'll be sure to let them know why I'm alone," he smiled. Malix stood up, pulled a coin from his pocket and dropped it on the table, before striding off out the door. He looked back once, and then disapparated in a cloud of black and orange smoke. Onyxa stared at the door for a second, before shaking her head and looking away at the wall, avoiding looking at Arroe and Amaranth.

Raising her eyebrows and smiling at his obvious disliking of being called that, Arroe smirked slightly, "and why would you have a problem with a couple? Unless you're jealous, maybe?" she taunted. Arroe gave Onyxa a sympathetic smile, then took another drink of butterbeer, not sure what she could reply to that. Arroe was positivley fuming now. Malix was an arrogant asshole, and she managed to yell that at him before he got up in his little hissy fit. "You're not her mother nor her father Malix," Arroe hissed back, tense and trembling in anger. She really hated him. "And you know, you're more like her father than Onyxa is. For hating Zaire so much, you sure act a lot like him, arrogant and snobby know-it-all. Mom told me all about his attitude, and sounds like you're just like Zaire. "
Once Malix had left, Arroe hoped Onyxa wouldn't follow suit. There was nothing wrong with a little fun. Nudging her friends' leg lightly, Arroe gave heer a tiny smile, "come on, if he's taking a detour, then we can too," she said quietly.

"Why shouldn't I? Couples...clinginess..." he trailed off with another shudder. "Jealous?!" he almost yelled in exasperation. He gave a cold, humorless laugh. "Jealous. That's hilarious. Why the hell would I be jealous?" he raised an eyebrow, though he was still glaring.
"And again, Kerea, you don't need to speak for her. She can, or at least I hope she can, speak for herself," he snapped. Just about to grab his glass, Malix froze. Though he wasn't even touching the glass yet, it exploded, sending shards flying across the whole table. Curling the raised hand into a fist, he swelled with fury. "I am nothing like...Zaire," he spat the name with revulsion. Lighting a flame on the tip of his index finger, he lined it up with Arroe's face. Blowing the fire in her direction and hoping for it to catch on either her hair or clothes, he strode away, not waiting to see if it actually hit.
Onyxa hesitantly turned and looked at Arroe when she felt the nudge on her leg. She shook her head. "No, lets not...lets..." she trailed off. "I doubt you two want to come along, but you're welcome to...I'm going straight home..." she smirked. "See how he likes having his little tricks played on him..." she paused a second before clarifying. "If I go now, I can beat him there and...let them know why I'm alone." Raising her glass, she quickly finished off her butterbeer while she waited to see what they were going to do.

Purposely leaning farther into Amaranth's shoulder, Arroe rested her head on his arm and gazed up at him with a smile before turning back to Malix. "Why would you care if you weren't jealous Malix? Why wouldn't you just ignore it like everyone else?"
At Malix's attack Arroe yanked back as quick as she can, but was baracaded by Amaranth's body. She could feel him tense up beside her and try to cover her, but the flame has already caught at the ends of her hair. Arroe squeaked in surprise at the sudden heat and quickly smashed the burning ends of her hair between her palms, putting out the fire that was barely there. Breathing heavily, Arroe looked down at her hair to see the damage, and was releived that it was barely fried at the very tips. Letting out a very annoyed and angry sigh, Arroe shook her head, then grabbed onto Amaranth's shirt to keep him from chasing aafter Malix. Amaranth gave her an exasprated look and whispered, "just let me go Arroe." Shaking her head, Arroe whispered back, "it's not worth it Wrath, just leave him."
At Onyxa's suggestion, Arroe brightened up, nodding eagerly. "That's a great idea Nyx, beating him at his own games. I'm in," she replied with a smile. Turning to Amaranth she gave him an understanding smile, already knowing he wouldn't want to go. Too much risk of more people. "Sorry, I'll..." Amaranth trailed off, looking uncomfortable. "Don't worry Wrath, I'll catch upwith you later, k?" Arroe said with a cheery smile. Amaranth nodded then muttered an apology to Onyxa, "I'll see you later," he added as he stood up. Giving Amaranth a quick kiss, Arroe gave his shoulder a squeeze then waved goodbye.
turning to Onyxa, Arroe gave her friend an excited smile, "ready?"

Malix rolled his eyes at her obvious attempt to annoy him further. "Perhaps, because I don't like it," he sneered. "It's not ignorable when you're sitting right next to me, practically laying in his lap," he added with a sigh of annoyance.
Onyxa gave a slightly apologetic smile, even though it was in no way her fault. "It really isn't worth it, Amaranth," she said, nodding in agreement with Arroe. "You're just going to make things worse...he's an arrogant ass for a reason, he knows how to get what he wants and always gets his way...fucking spoiled, favored, suck up..." She heaved a deep breath and shook her head. "You don't want to take a chance of getting...his father, angry at you over it," she rolled her eyes.
Nodding back with a smile, Onyxa laughed quietly. "I can't wait to see his reaction," she smirked a little. She turned to Amaranth too and nodded. "Yeah, it's fine," she said. "I can't believe Arroe even wants to come when she doesn't have to," she added. Onyxa waved goodbye to him and then turned back to Arroe. "Ready, lets go," she smiled. "Lets just hope it doesn't backfire..." she muttered, losing a bit of her excitement at the thought.
Setting a coin on the table for her butterbeer, she got up and led Arroe out into the main street of Hogsmeade. She held her arm out to Arroe. "Trust me not to splinch you? I haven't gotten it down quite as perfectly as Malix," she gave a nervous laugh. Waiting a second longer, she disapparated them back to the Riddle manor.

"are you kidding? I wouldn't miss a chance to possiby see this," Arroe replied with a giant grin. Following suit with Onyxa, Arroe left money for her butterbeer then followed her friend out. "Hopefully it doesn't," Arroe said thoughtfully, trying not to think of the consequences that might happen if the plan did backfire. Nodding, Arroe took hold of Onyxa's arm and smiled, "of course I do."
Arroe tightened her hold on Onyxa and felt her heart pick up it's pace. "Let's get back at him for being a controlling, arrogant, prick" Arroe said with determination.
